Color pencils have been my medium of choice for over forty years. I find the colors to be vibrant, along with great texture and consistency. Blending colors allows for a smooth transition of shading, which assists in creating a realistic image. The use of magnification allows me to enhance detail producing a realistic look. I generally focus on realism, capturing New York Street scenes that evoke emotion and thought.
I started displaying my work publicly in 2016, signing on with The Flywheel Gallery in Piermont, New York. In 2018 I created a piece to honor the first responders of the 9/11 World Trade Center attack. This piece, "The Search for Heroes" is now part of the World Trade Center Memorial Museum's permenant collection.
