About the work

A Cantata applies broadly to works for solo voice, multiple soloists, vocal ensemble, and with instrumental accompaniment of keyboard or instrumental ensemble. Sea to the sky and earth is a melody that evokes harmony in all of us. Created with one knife and a pallet of yellows, oranges, Paynes Gray, and earth tones this dramatic piece calls our attention to the relationship between earth, wind and water.
