About the work

I took the photo of these tulips a few years ago. They were the last two survivors of a beautiful bouquet of tulips. There was something romantic about the way they were leaning on each other, and it was such a perfect composition that got my creative juices flowing and I knew I had to create something based on them. I did a colour pencil drawing before I painted them in acrylics. This painting was done on a gallery wrapped canvas, and all the sides and edges are finished. It doesn't require framing, and it will arrive ready to hang.
