About the work
Every glorious summer sunset is a stage for the little house and its giant tower.
Chantry Island swims across the beach town of Southampton on Lake Huron.
This Island used to be a picnic ground for the inhabitants of the town during the Victorian times of Canada.
Now it is designated as a bird sanctuary.
The beautiful light tower which was built in 1859 is automated and it's keeper's house is a museum now.
Interior is preserved with its authentic furnishings, which allows us a glimpse of the past.
