Collage using acrylic paint on acid-free tissue paper. Adhered to canvas panel with a layer of Golden soft gel medium.

The distressed colours have a faded feel suggestive of the passage of time and memories. The broad symmetry of the u-shaped valley and the soft colours and shapes hark back to the landscapes of Scotland. Overall there is a feeling of majesty and presence. The title refers to the 500 miles of the Proclaimers.

The picture has been created on a canvas panel treated to archival standards to preserve the work. The tissue paper has been coated on both sides with Golden soft gel medium and the picture given a final layer of protection with Golden UV satin varnish.

The picture wraps over the sides of the panel. The picture is the standard size 10 x 8". Signed on the reverse with description and title.
