About the work

I was captivated by the beauty and elegance of irises, particularly those with violet hues. They were also drawn to the lush and vibrant greens. This combination of violet irises against emerald greens sparked my imagination and became the driving force behind the creation of this artwork.

I chose to use bold brushstrokes in my painting technique. They added a sense of movement and energy to the artwork. I aimed to evoke a sense of spontaneity and expressiveness, reflecting the emotions of summer.

I wanted you to feel as if you could almost touch the petals of the irises and feel the lushness of the greenery.
