About the work

My Raining Color pieces explores the simple desire to see the purity of color dripping on a smooth surface as though it was rain filled with color washing away any emptiness left behind when nothing was there to fill the void.

I have a love affair with paper and what putting paint on it will do unlike canvas. My main focus on this body of work is to let the color do its thing, to let it show off in a way that can only work on paper. It makes me feel alive, happy, giddy almost to see the colors glow, almost, as they do, the way they should!

This is an original oil painting with polyurethane on Strathmore Vellum paper and is 23.5” x 18." It is also sprayed with an archival coating. It will arrive mounted on a rigid 1/4" thick archival, acid free foam core support along with a small foamcast hanger set that you can use to mount to the wall before you decide if you want to frame the piece or not.
