This painting is a vibrant expression of a beautiful sight. Imagine fields of golden crops blowing on the Spring breeze bathed in golden sunlight. After the darkness of Winter it's a sight that reflects the bright colours of nature and a wonderful scene full of optimism. This piece is meant to bring a harmonious energy to your space, enveloping you in its soothing ambiance and colourful vibrancy each time you gaze upon it.
An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on deep edged canvas. I begin with observation of the place making notes and taking photographs to work from in the studio. From these beginnings I work intuitively, painting some base layers with a brush and then impasto techniques layer on layer applied with a palette knife harnessing optical mixing techniques employed by the impressionists. In places the paint is applied impasto and deeply textured with rich yellow paint. The painting continues round the sides, it is signed on the back, a frame is not needed and it is ready to hang.
