I come from a small town Kherson in the south of Ukraine. When I was little, I used to spend a lot of time in the village which was surrounded by fields and forests. I happily grew up surrounded by nature. I used to spend every day going to the edge of the field just to watch the sunset and dreamed of learning to paint as delightfully as the sun does it in the sky. I believe that was the moment when I decided to become an artist so that I could learn how to convey my admiration for this world.
My inspiration comes from many sources. One may say that I get inspired by life itself. Each and every moment is special and creates a new plot in my imagination. It is such a blessing to wake up every morning and realize that blank canvases await me.
I can’t help but create art! I do my best to paint as soon as the images come to my mind. There are days when there are so many of them, and then I make sketches to capture my ideas. My stories are very different, but they are combined by the mood because I want to convey all the glory and magnificence of the world in my works. I always paint when I am in a good mood and create only kind stories. I am a human-being and I also feel and see pain, injustice. I also feel sadness. However, I can’t name one reason why we need to multiply such emotions by creating painful paintings and I firmly stand by that.
Just like through a magnifying glass, I want to show the wonderful aspects of this world such as love, kindness, and happiness. My art helps me to conduct a dialogue with the inner child of every viewer, to speak to the soul itself and just to remind that life is happiness. And that it is in each of us.
Since childhood, as soon as I learned how to hold a pencil, I began to create art. My parents sent me to study at an art school. After school, I studied at the design lyceum and after graduation I entered the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts at the Faculty of Design majoring in Artist-Designer. I graduated in 2007. Since then I have worked as a freelance artist. I live and work in Kherson most of the time.
In 2009 I held my first-ever solo exhibition. After that, I began to take an active part in annual exhibitions held by the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. For the last four years, I have been taking part in annual expos in Ukraine and Europe. I regularly take part in exhibitions, art festivals and art performances. Currently, I have been actively working on creating a series of works for a new solo exhibition which is scheduled for this coming fall.
