Amanda Jayne Crooks

In 2015 I lost my mother to cancer, since I lost her life has changed so much. I have been a hairstylist for almost 30years, as Covid began my passion for the industry faded. I soon found myself not having passion for anything. On the anniversary of my mums death this year I sat alone by the lake and talked to her. I asked my mum to help me find my passion. To help me feel an emotion that I knew my soul was lacking. I happen to go to the dollar store that day bought a little canvas, some brushes and some paint. That was March 12 2022, and I have not been able to stop painting since. I have found a passion in a talent that I never knew I had. If you knew my mum, you would understand when I say I know she’s holding the brush.
