Areej Taufik

An artist with a science background, Areej Taufik earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Food Technology from Universiti Putra Malaysia and the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She has also written several articles on the local and international food industry. However, art and being creative have been integral to her life since her teenage years.
Her interest in fine art began in high school, as she scored A1 for the Pendidikan Seni Visual subject in her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (equivalent to O level) despite being in the science stream. Although she pursued a science ­based career, her love for art has never faded. Instead, it rekindled during the COVID­19 lockdown, turning her from a hobbyist into a serious artist.
