Bruna Vani

Bruna Vani is a Brazilian artist who was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in 1989. Capricorn and older sister of three siblings. She was shy and introverted in childhood. Her favorite games were drawing paper dolls for playing in the garden, draw the house and her grandmother's trinkets, bubbles, playing in the dirt, looking for quartz on the street behind her grandparents' house, swimming in the waterfalls of Minas Gerais, where she spent part of her childhood in contact with nature.

When she was eleven years old, she made her first oil painting, a landscape with trees and a stream in the middle. She was fourteen when moved to Recife. Then she starts to better understand her connection with nature, with water, her admiration for crystals, plants, animals and magic. Moreover, she continues with the oil paintings and painted some animals, landscapes and fairies.

Bruna returns to Minas Gerais to study fine arts at the Guignard school in Belo Horizonte and it was at college that her passion for acrylic painting began.

Inspired by nature and the beauty she finds in the world, she sees life from a romantic and fantastic perspective through the magic of nature. Her process lies in the subtlety of everyday life, in the framing of the images she captures, as her paintings are all from her own photographs and the synesthetic emotions that she feels with colors.

Bruna is mother of Liriel, the little girl who is in her paintings. Bruna continues her dreams by passing on this magic to her daughter in a playful and inspiring way. Therefore, her paintings are a way to give live to her imagination.
