I hate biographies. How am I to explain to you all that is me in a little box? I am 36 years old, a lesbian, a mother, a nurse, and an artist. I began creating art in my youth as I believe many artists did; to vent my frustrations with the world. Over time it evolved to focuses on religion, sex, capitalism, homophobia, a male dominated culture.. all manipulating my presence and impact on the world without my consent. My art is risqué, unique, difficult to categorize. Uncomfortable. Each piece comes with its own “biography” in that the story behind the art is equally important as the art itself. I work primarily with used media; vintage porn, home magazines, bibles. I do originals and commissions in a variety of sizes.
