Claude P Ferron

Claude P. Ferron, sculptor from Malartic, presents, for the very first time, his works in front of an audience. Following the success of his vernissage, which attracted 70 people, the artist humbly tells us about his art and his original creations.
Claude P. Ferron makes animal sculpture on moose plumes. It reproduces various animals of the boreal forest in action in their natural environment, in the most realistic scenes evoking the cycle of the food chain. "I represent feathered and furry animals, in miniature sculptures", he explains. In his collection, we find, among others, deer, wolves, bears, birds of prey and of course, moose. The artist says he is very proud of this first exhibition. He has been dedicated to plume sculpture since 2006, but has been fascinated by this material for more than 20 years. He always wanted to find a use for the woods of the animals he hunted. It was while frequenting the Internet that he came up with the idea of sculpting them.
