In 2018, I founded Tribu à Table. A handmade business that began with giant wooden serving trays. Wanting to vary my activities, I started making candles and became interested in embroidery. Always wanting to get off the beaten track, and do something original, I came up with the idea of embroidering over (royalty-free) photos.
And as I've always had a passion for fashion and history, I started to depict modern times and the Renaissance through clothing. I also use ribbons, lace, jewels, stones, diamonds... to transform the women in the photos into Queens. My "Queen" series currently comprises 2 20x16" canvases. I've also embroidered on cardboard/posters and started taking custom orders from customers with their photos.
I have a large bank of photos that I plan to embroider to add to my collection.
