"We have lost the simple sense of contemplation," he says. I work for the pleasure of the eye. I wish I could
make the viewer dream without needing a speech to give meaning to the work. I'm looking for the
marvellous. I have fun with shape, space, material and color. I want creation to become one
game. I want to get back to my childhood. Despite everything, after 40 years of practice, I keep my lucidity as an adult artist.
I construct my images as one constructs a building. I don't let myself be invaded by them, I want
also control them. I stand in balance between the spontaneous and the controlled, between the madness of the subject and the balance
plastic."
