Born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1952, Derek's creative vision is shared with those who love the horizons and magnificent skies found only in the landscapes of the Canadian prairies. After graduating from ACAD in 1978, Derek honed his skills in jewellery art forms , but still kept his hand in his first love, that being painting. Today, Derek's concentration is exclusively on painting.
