Deryk Houston

Deryk Houston has mounted one man exhibitions in the former Soviet Union, Scotland, Iraq, the USA, and Canada.

His work was featured in the National filmboard of Canada's documentary, "From Baghdad to Peace Country".
One of his pieces is in the Permanent collection of the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, on the recommendation of the National Gallery of Canada.

He is currently working on a new series where he plays with twigs, branches,leaves, seeds etc. and creates an impression of their lines by splattering black drips of paint over the surface of the canvas.

Deryk currently lives with his wife in Sooke BC on the most southern tip of Vancouver Island.
