Emily Thomson

As a young child I was shocked to find out that becoming an artist when I grew up was an actual possibility. Ever since that moment I knew it was a passion that I wanted to pursue and take seriously. It has been a constant battle of confidence and motivation, but after graduating from the Visual Arts program at Red Deer College on the Dean’s Honour Roll, I began my career as an artist. I have managed to fit many experiences in my tool box including live painting for Art Battle Canada, public and private murals, fundraising and teaching public classes.
Emily Thomson was born and raised in central/southern Alberta, and has travelled out of the country to Europe, America and Mexico so far. She is a passionate community member, and enjoys dancing, playing music and practicing yoga as other means of expression.
