Watercolour as a medium fascinates me! I am a self taught artist having dabbled with oils, acrylics and watercolours. The joy I derive, from the play of pigments when they meet water, is immense. Watercolours have a mind of their own and it is a thrill to use this unique quality of the medium to create original artwork. For me learning never ends and as I evolve as a watercolour artist, each piece I create becomes a lesson as well as a reflection of me. My work is inspired not only by nature but also by events and my surroundings. These are reflected in the colours which are then chosen for the work. The loose style of my paintings are at times a result of my creative madness, where the painting may have been created without the use of a paint brush and by the mere mingling and dancing of the watercolour pigments with water.
