I have been invited to submit my application for the MANIFEST art residency
After an open house event, the MANIFEST team sends me the application form! Eligible applicants will be legal residents in Creative Europe framework countries (including Overseas Countries and Territories and Outermost Regions of the European Union)

MANIFEST will select up to 36 artists for a journey through a well-planned and structured Art Residency - Art Journey through three European cities (Budapest/Zsennye 🇭🇺, Lisbon 🇵🇹, Copenhagen 🇩🇰), to stimulate development of their artistic creation in the service of re-imagining the memory of the most important and too neglected component of European history: the transatlantic slave trade. The Voyage will end in 2024 with a Final Event in Nantes 🇫🇷, a city filled with vestiges of its slave trade past. This will be an opportunity to host the awards ceremony for creators in residence and to engage the work in the social debate on the subject.

Throughout the artistic journey, artists will be encouraged to work with new technologies. Final artworks will be produced in digital formats in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), video or audio - sound and spoken art formats. In addition to offering a unique cross-border and interdisciplinary opportunity, artists will receive fees for participating in all residencies. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered
