Maxime Gagnon Bergeron

Born in Jonquière (Quebec, Canada), Maxime grew up in Baie-Comeau city where she made her first contacts with art through Gilles Beaulieu, painter.

Painting became for her not a simple hobby, but a real means of expression and exteriorization.

With a personality that is both extroverted and introverted, we discover through her art a dual character, as intriguing and interior as it is extravagant and colorful.

Although Maxime experimented oil painting, she advocates the mediums of acrylic and watercolor. From the point of view of her subjects, she prefers portraits and facial expressions.

Its contrasts and metallic effects as well as her dramatic use of light constitute her signature and define her visual language. The extraordinary balance between realism and abstraction also contributes to the uniqueness of her work.
