My passion for art ignited at an early age, leading me to embark on a unique artistic journey. My exploration began with the creation of Electronic Circuit Sculptures, where I transformed electronic circuits into artistic entities, breaking away from conventional norms of enclosing them within boxes. This unconventional approach encouraged me to think outside the box, fostering a creative mindset that would later shape my artistic endeavors.

During my academic pursuits, I delved into a double major in Engineering and Philosophy, where I found inspiration in the mesmerizing world of mathematics and the inherent beauty of geometric entities. This interdisciplinary journey laid the foundation for the intellectual aspects of my artistic practice.

The vibrant city of Toronto has undeniably played a pivotal role in influencing my artistic trajectory. From its diverse cultures and innovative technology to a thriving art scene, Toronto has left an indelible mark on my creative process. This influence culminated in the creation of Sumac, an interactive artwork that reflects the city's modern and innovative spirit. The integration of technology in Sumac mirrors Toronto's dynamic environment, while the interactive nature of the piece captures the vibrancy of the city's cultural scene, replete with festivals and events.

As a proud graduate of the University of Toronto, my academic journey within the city's scholarly community has further enriched the intellectual and creative dimensions of Sumac. The synergy between my early artistic explorations, academic pursuits, and the dynamic energy of Toronto has shaped my unique approach to art, encapsulated in the evolving narrative of Sumac.

Sumac, at its core, is a testament to the harmonious convergence of technology, art, and the diverse influences of Toronto, inviting viewers to engage with a multifaceted experience that transcends traditional boundaries.

* Sumac (/ˈsuːmæk/ or /ˈʃuːmæk/), also spelled sumach,[a] is any of about 35 species of flowering plants in the genus Rhus and related genera in the cashew family (Anacardiaceae). Sumacs grow in subtropical and temperate regions throughout every continent except Antarctica and South America.[4][5][6] Sumac is used as a spice, as a dye, and in medicine.
