Senka Asenova

Born in Bulgaria, Senka studied at the Bulgarian National Sports Academy and obtained a Master's degree in teaching and coaching. Senka was an outstanding athlete with numerous achievements: first place at the 1993 European Championships in Spain and third place at the 1987 - USA World Championships in Olympic weightlifting.
Self-taught, inspired by nature and beauty - beauty in all its forms - Senka decided to create art in her own way. What she sees and feels with her eyes, heart and soul, is how she expresses her visions and feelings.

Success requires hard work, discipline and dedication. Senka's experiences with sport, education and training help her create her art.
She has learned that art and sport complement each other.
She was inspired by American artist Nancy Reyner and Italian artist Roberta Diazi - the elegance and sophistication of Swarovski crystals.
Lately, she has been experimenting and working with gold leaf, silver leaf and Swarovski crystals. The unique combination has captured her imagination and guides her work.

Since 1996, Senka has lived and worked in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
