Stephanie Lane Abstract Underground

I am a full time abstract artist from Edmonton, Alberta. My mediums are oil and cold wax, acrylics, alcohol inks, and resin. For the past four years, I have been teaching and creating art full time, but have enjoyed doing art on the side for years before.

I am passionate about abstract paintings and all things ethereal. My inspiration is old peeling plaster walls or anything with historical layers to it. I also like to paint with emotion, which adds to the effects.

I specialize in large paintings and I do commissions based on style and colour suggestions from the client. Abstract paintings have a mind of their own after they take shape, so style and colour is taken into account, but it is important for flow to not take in too much input into a commission. The most successful commissions are ones where the artist has the freedom to create without too many guidelines.
