Sunny

Sunny is a self taught artist who has always had a passion for art since childhood. She moved to Canada 21 years ago, and graduated with honors in Health Sciences from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Soon after, she got married and moved to Waterloo, Ontario.

When Covid hit Canada in 2020, the blues from social isolation reignited her passion to make art pieces. It was this art that took her out of depression and anxiety and calmed her down. She has been fortunate enough to have gathered much appreciation from not only the community in the Waterloo Region but also all across Canada!

She loves creating "moderately" abstract pieces, working with acrylics, mixing in other media like crushed glass, rocks, glitter, gold/ silver leaf and tiny mirror pieces into her work. Inspired by nature, many of her art pieces depict the beauty of flowers, trees, and other wonders of nature. She loves creating textured impressionist landscape art. She also works with alcohol inks and creates beautiful traditional Arabic and English Calligraphy.
