Cascade -New painting series

Cascade Green is a dark, forestry green named after the Cascade Mountains. It's a beautiful and dangerous mix of Raw Sienna and Phthalocyanine Blue. Phthalocyanine Blue is very bright and sharp, sometimes it can be overwhelming. Raw Sienna, if you are not careful, will turn everything muddy.

Besides playing with this interesting colour I also broke my rules by adding colour pencils for the first time. And I kept adapting the Chinese ink painting style, to practice on how to let things go in the painting process. Most of all is having a blast with balancing value, composition and the contents. I hope you can feel the vibes and my thoughts in these little greens too.
