Olya Wright - Best in Show

I'm honored to receive the "Best in Show" award at the international online Architecture 2020 painting and photography competition at Camelback Gallery for my painting titled "An Age of Quiet Wisdom".

The painting depicts the historic Haynes Ranch barn near Osoyoos, BC.

"I pursued an extensive art education and made art a vital part of my life from an early age. Having lived in diverse places such as large urban cities and quaint countryside’s, I try to bring an understanding of place to my paintings. I continually experiment with technique, and I work with different media to portray a variety of subject matter. I spend a lot of time observing different art styles. I realized that my passion is portraying different perspectives of ordinary subjects, because the artist’s interpretation is the heart of the creative process. In pursuit of this, much of my recent work portrays historical architecture."
