It is scenes such as this one that drives me to do what I do - be an artist. Being an artist is a love hate relationship. Most days finish on a positive note insofar as completed paintings go. Other days are horrendous because nothing turns out. It's like I've run around in circles most of the day. The trick is to persevere and move forward. Nothing is lost. Failure in a painting is a lesson of what not to do next time... The more you paint, the more you learn. The more you move forward as an artist. Multiply those days by weeks, months and years and your knowledge as an artist is exponential.
