Shooting the Rapids on the Wapiti River

For many years I canoed down the Wapiti River from Pipestone Creek in Alberta, to Grande Prairie. The trip takes about 6 hours and can be a nice leisurely ride or somewhat dangerous, depending on how much runoff is coming from the mountains. I've always enjoyed it most when we leave later in the day and arrive as the sun is getting lower in the sky. The colours can be breathtaking.
I've tried to capture this in my artwork by using bold colours and fluid lines to create movement.
