About the work

Emeryville #28 as with Jaren's previous two decades work draws it's inspiration from reflections and this one is no different. The reflection was captured off the City of Emeryville in the waters of San Francisco Bay, California. The combination of organic shapes and geometry allows for an exciting juxaposition of a hard edged shapes against the fluid movement of light undulating on a liquid suface. When white square draws your eye to the center of painting. The geometric shapes of red and black brings the eye to the organic movement. The viewer's eye strives to make sense of the flow of colors. The work is dynamic and yet contempative.
